Ian Gill - Artist
My interest in photography started at the age of 14. It wasn’t until I was 18 that I bought a secondhand camera with lots of accessories, little did I know it then, that it was going to be a life-long learning curve.
It’s been a roller coaster ride of emotions during the learning curve, ranging from sadness to excitement.
I find photography therapeutic as I can lose myself in the image making process. Photographing nature can be challenging as well as rewarding. I like to keep my options open as to the subjects I photograph as it’s not always possible to record nature, and it stops my mind from becoming bored.
