Stuart Harrison – Artist

I have been heavily influenced by the short lived Vorticism movement of the early 20th century and intrigued by the Vorticist ideas of combining Cubism with Futurism. Using this influence and style of geometrical fragmentation I aim to order and illustrate my own thoughts and observations on the human condition and it’s dynamic and sometimes uneasy interaction between the modern industrial world. As an animator and sculptor my 2D illustrative work continues my exploration and questioning of line, shape, light and movement. My current work explores the concept of non-linear time  through memory and our objective recollection and reimagining of actions, emotions and events.
